Everyone knows this refined flower, it is perfect to decorate with elegance any house; the thing that not everyone knows is that there are thousands of different species of orchids.

The most common orchid is Phalaenopsis, it is very resistant and it is easy to grow. It is native to Asia, the characteristic shape of its flowers recalls a coloured butterfly!
Another very common variety is Cymbidium, native to the Himalayas. This orchid with delicate colors is a wonderful decoration for the brightest areas of your house, as it greatly appreciates the indirect light of the sun.
Even Vanda orchids love bright areas. This wonderful plant, thanks to its size, aerial roots and frequent blooms, originally grows on trees, in their highest part where it can join maximum exposure to light. For this reason, it is also called aerial orchid, its roots are completely exposed to the air, without the need to be buried. A little orchid-specific bark can help maintain proper moisture.
We find many of the features of Vanda type also in the Cattleya orchids, whose flowers have fabulous colors and shades, not to mention the scent. For many years, it was the undisputed star of orchids, before knowing Phalaenopsis.
Another beautiful kind of orchids is Dendrobium, also called Bamboo Orchid since its stem looks like bamboo canes, it is much appreciated for its abundant and luxuriant blooms.
